Blom Xara
Biography:
Xara Blom lectures Psychology at the department of Educational & Pedagogical Sciences. Her academic character is strongly focused on critical thinking, competence development, creativity and evidence-based practices. She holds an MSc degree in Developmental & Educational Psychology, is a certified examiner, thesis supervisor and recently completed the Teachers Professionalization training program (DPO) of the university. Over the past 4 years she has acquired and developed extensive knowledge and skills in providing quality education where she focusses on updating the connection between education, end qualifications and the delivered individual. As an exam coordinator she maintains not only the quality of course assessments, but also the quality of the constructive alignment between educational design and assessment. Her portfolio includes everything from providing training & workshops to monitoring quality, resulting in the development of formats and procedures for maintaining quality in the education of people. The versatility of her academic background ranges from professional expertise to preparing, implementing and supervising education. Her research interest is in educational practices, mental health in education and improving critical thinking through diverse educational practices
