Chotoe-Jhingoerie, Saskia
Biography:
Saskia Chotoe-Jhingoerie got her Master of Education degree in 2016 at the Institute for Graduate Studies and Research (IGSR) of the Anton de Kom University in Suriname. Prior to joining the University, she built a diverse career as a teacher and teacher trainer in various educational institutions. She is currently a lecturer at the Faculty of Social Sciences, specifically for the bachelor’s program in Educational and Pedagogical Sciences. She teaches several courses within Educational Science and Pedagogy majors. In addition, she is the chair of the Educational Science curriculum committee and a member of the Examination Board of the Faculty of Social Sciences. She has completed two professional development programs within the university: the Teachers Professionalization in Education (DPO) program and the Teachers Professionalization in Research program (DPR). Her professional and academic interests lie in the field of educational innovation, teacher agency, curriculum reform, digital transformation in education and professional development of educators.
