Biography:

Marjorie Rotsburg got her master’s degree in Dutch language, with specialization in Linguistics at the Faculty of Humanities of the Anton de Kom University of Suriname. After finishing her master’s study, she began working as a junior lecturer at the university. She is now a lecturer, at the same faculty.

Currently she is head of the department of Language and Literature, where she coordinates the Bachelor’s program Language and Communication.

She teaches the ‘Grammar courses’, and is very engaged with the languages from Suriname, especially Sranantongo.
