Biography:

Muriel Poepon got her PhD in 2019 in health law at the Rijks Universiteit of Groningen, the Netherlands. Her thesis was on “Het Surinaams gezondheidsrecht in ontwikkelingsperspectief”. In her current employment she teaches Codification administrative law and Health law. She also teaches legislation within public health in the bachelor’s program Public Health of the faculty of Medical Sciences. Her research interests include the current health law that relates to the quality of care, prevention and the underlying determinants of health.
