Biography:

Regina Mahadewsing started teaching mathematics in 1993. She got her master’s degree in Mathematics in 2016 at the Interfaculty for Graduate Studies and Research of Suriname. Her thesis project focused on Fixed Point Theory.

She has worked as a lecturer at the Department of Mathematics of the faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FWNW) since 2017.

Her current position is head of the Department of Mathematics. Her main research interest is in Mathematics Education.

Research:

• (Re)Designing calculus exams with the focus on testing and achieving the learning objectives.
• Create material for students to fill in the gap they have in prior knowledge.
